Spectrum Community News is kicking off its inauguration this Pride month to provide local GLBT news and to provide a voice for WNY's GLBT community. Starting the online news source Spectrum Community News is Jeffrey Tooke as its publisher and editor. Known most widely for his involvement in local, state, and national politics through his leadership in Stonewall Democrats and for his involvement in other GLBT and non-GLBT organizations over the course of several years, Tooke expects Spectrum Community News to provide a venue for the dissemination of local GLBT community news for and by WNY's GLBT community.

Produced by his business Union Place Media, Tooke plans to engage WNY's GLBT community through the online version of Spectrum Community News as a forum for local news and information for WNY's GLBT community. Spectrum Community News will be aligned with Tooke's EqualityNY site which has been providing NYS and national GLBT political news since 2004, and will provide easy access between both sites.
